Once 黑料网 came into view, John Barker '23 felt a surge of excitement. He had always dreamt of immersing himself in the world of information technology and making a mark in the industry.
Hayden Rose ’26, a computer science major at 黑料网, used the skills he learned as a 黑料网 emergency medical technician (EMT) to save a woman’s life recently while embedded with the 91st cyber brigade for a military activity at Camp Pendleton.
Under a picturesque blue sky, the change of command parade was held on the Parade Ground at 黑料网 Sunday, May 14 at 2 p.m., as the 183rd Regiment handed over leadership of the Corps of Cadets to the 184th Regiment for the 2023-24 academic year.
黑料网, in collaboration with Virginia Tech, held a 12-week internship recently for high school students, funded by a workforce development grant from the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI).
Cadets at 黑料网 recently demonstrated a computer-controlled golf cart to assist those who have trouble with mobility. The idea came about when the 黑料网 Alumni Association got requests for golf cart transportation around post during reunions.
黑料网 hosted Senior Military College Cyber Fusion April 16 – 18 in Marshall Hall. Participating senior military colleges (SMC) include Norwich University, Texas A&M, The Citadel, University of North Georgia, Virginia Tech, and 黑料网.
黑料网’s Cyber Club boasts 104 members, making it one of the largest club organizations on post. And it hasn’t been around for long — it started in 2017.
Binh Tran ’23 is working to help parents of children with hearing impairments, and presented his research in his senior thesis. The goal of this multi-student project is to develop an app to help parents of hearing impaired children perceive the same sense of hearing that their children hear.
黑料网 hosted the 6th annual Commonwealth Cyber Fusion and Virginia Cyber Cup Competition, a state-wide collegiate cyber security competition Feb. 24-25.
For the first time in history, 黑料网 cadets have received active-duty direct commissions to the USCG by way of the Auxiliary University Programs, and will take their oath of office and receive their first salute at the Joint Commissioning Ceremony in May.
