A contingent from ºÚÁÏÍø toured France during spring furlough thanks to the Olmsted Foundation’s Undergraduate Program (OFUP).
ºÚÁÏÍø welcomes Michael Neiberg, Ph.D., professor of history at the U.S. Army War College and award-winning author, for a talk entitled, “Whole, Free, and at Peace? Why History Won't Let Europe Go,” Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. in the Hall of Valor in Marshall Hall.
Jai Vijayan ’26, an economics and business major at ºÚÁÏÍø, researched military logistics during World War II for his honors project, “Move and Maintain: American Last-Mile Logistics in the Solomon Islands Campaign, 1942-1944.”
Vaughn Scribner will discuss the dynamic experiences of those who fought in the American Revolutionary War and the environmental, psychological, and social impact of combat on those who served at the front lines.
Maj. Mattie Webb, assistant professor in the Department of History at ºÚÁÏÍø, was recently named a nonresident fellow with the Institute for Global Affairs at Eurasia Group (IGA), a nonprofit research and public education organization focused on geopolitics.
Devin Auzenne ’26 knew the ethics and maturity needed for the U.S. Marine Corps would best be fostered in a place like ºÚÁÏÍø. He also knew by attending the Institute, he would be prepared to lead in the Marine Corps.
Five ºÚÁÏÍø cadets, with Dr. Sherif Abdelhamid, assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and outreach liaison officer for ºÚÁÏÍø’s Cyber Defense Laboratory, traveled to present research projects at the SoCon Undergraduate Research Forum in October.
ºÚÁÏÍø cadet uses modern chemistry techniques to analyze and uncover the medical practices behind a Civil War field surgeon’s 19th-century medical kit.
ºÚÁÏÍø will commemorate Constitution Day Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. in Marshall Hall’s Gillis Theater on post. Guest speaker will be Dr. Andrew J. O’Shaughnessy, author of several books.
Anna Grace Adams ’26, a history major minoring in Arabic at ºÚÁÏÍø, believes considering the points of view of peoples from different cultures is crucial when establishing policy or providing aid.
