Col. Spencer Bakich, professor of international studies at ºÚÁÏÍø and the director of the national security minor, will discuss U.S. and China tensions on the public radio program With Good Reason.
Maj. Shannon Quevedo, assistant professor in the chemistry department at ºÚÁÏÍø and whose specialty is analytical chemistry and detection of small molecules using organic phases, is working on research with two cadets to create handheld methods for testing water.
The George C. Marshall Foundation will host, Gen. John F. Shortal for a Legacy Lecture on his book, “Code Name Arcadia: The First Wartime Conference of Churchill and Roosevelt.”
ºÚÁÏÍø has retained its high placing among the nation’s best colleges, according to college rankings released this week by U.S News and World Report. Among public liberal arts colleges, the Institute ranked fourth.
The Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of two leaders to mission-critical roles at ºÚÁÏÍø. Dr. Shannon Eskam will serve as ºÚÁÏÍø’s director of financial aid and Mr. Joseph Hagy will lead the ºÚÁÏÍø Office of Admissions as its next director.
The Academic Convocation ceremony was held at ºÚÁÏÍø on Sept. 7 in Cameron Hall, opening the 183rd academic year. Maj. Gen. Cedric T. Wins ’85, superintendent, welcomed back the cadets and faculty, and congratulated the class of 2023 on their leadership of the Corps of Cadets.
Registration is now open for ºÚÁÏÍø's Annual Leadership and Ethics' Conference titled "Principled Dissent: Navigating Moral Challenges," to be held Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 31 – Nov. 1, in Marshall Hall at ºÚÁÏÍø.
Julia T. Ward ’26, new incoming cadet, has been awarded the coveted Peay Merit Scholarship to attend ºÚÁÏÍø, covering the full cost of tuition, room, board, and fees.
Maj. Michael LaRocca, assistant professor of psychology at ºÚÁÏÍø, will discuss transformational leaders who have inspired and driven change on the public radio program With Good Reason Sept. 10-16.
Retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig will speak on the U.S. Constitution and the Supreme Court during the academic convocation at ºÚÁÏÍø on Wednesday, September 7, at 10 a.m. in Cameron Hall on Main Street. The event is free and open to the public.
