Col. Adrian T. Bogart III ’81, recently retired from the U. S. Army Special Forces, has been appointed commandant of the ºÚÁÏÍø Corps of Cadets.
This year, custodian Tanya Rice has spearheaded an effort among multiple custodians and cadets to collect unused school supplies and donate them to Rockbridge County Public Schools.

Just under 350 cadets received degrees in ºÚÁÏÍø’s first in-person graduation ceremony since December 2019. While graduation on the Parade Ground was common in the 19th century, it was ºÚÁÏÍø’s first outdoor graduation in many decades.
Under blue skies in Foster Stadium, more than 180 young men and women, most of them ºÚÁÏÍø cadets, commissioned into the armed services May 15 in the annual ROTC Joint Commissioning Ceremony. The ceremony was also livestreamed for family and friends who could not attend the event in person.
Will Duffy ’22 was weak in the knees in the final days of the academic year. Not because of exams or the multiple parades and trainings that happen, but because of the challenge he signed up for to help others.
In its first two-day, in-person meeting since the pandemic, the ºÚÁÏÍø Board of Visitors took action on a number of important items including setting tuition and fees for the 2021-22 academic year, electing new officers, and contextualizing a number of features on post.
